Lightweight and portable ROV's designed for underwater inspections
A Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) can be used for many different underwater applications, allowing the vehicle's operator to remain in a comfortable environment while the ROV works in the hazardous environment below.
ROV's are free flying at the operator's commands and in some instances programmed to fly in certain patterns or locations. However, they are always attached to a control centre usually based above the surface.
Presently we own 'Triggerfish', a remote operate underwater vehicle, which is used on many different projects and has the capabilities of using articulated grabs as well as all aspects of inspection both video and NDT.
We have worked with the ROV in:
- Pipelines
- Sewers
- Water & chemical tanks
- Deep dives (100m)
- Culverts
- Hull inspections
- Polluted waterways
- Wreck location & survey
An ROV is less intrusive than a diver and can be used in sensitive areas such as archaeological surveys, and fish farming.
Our ROV is also used as an observer and sentinel for divers working or decompressing in the water and for the survey of debris prior to our work should the client so require.
Designed for use as a cost effective, small, powerful and portable system of the highest quality. Weighing just 8 pounds, this versatile machine can get into small confined spaces and be put into areas hostile to divers.
